*Land Transport*
In Antarctica the land transport is usually by foot or vehicles. Some of the vehicles include: snowmobiles, bulldozers, tractors and sledge dogs. Depending on where the people are from, if the scientists are from New Zealand they can also use quads. Sledge dogs was the first type of vehicle land transport used in Antarctica.
*Water Transport*
To get to Antarctica the transport are boats. From land to the ice there are called Zodiacs. Zodiacs are a motorised boats that can Boats are called Icebreakers. These boats are used for breaking through the thick ice when you reach Antarctica. The Icebreakers are also used in the summer. These boats were not made back then the explores and scientists used wooden sailing vessels. These sailing vessels would sometimes get stuck in the ice or sink.

The air transport used in Antarctica are Airplanes and Helicopters. Antarctica has 20 places where the aeroplanes can land and 42 places where the Helicopter can land.
The First Airplane in Antarctica was in 1911 when Douglas Mawson had first took flight but cashed though luckily, nobody was hurt. The first Airplane flight to succeed was from Hubert Wilkins in 1928.
Helicopters have been around since 1946 when Richard E. Byrd used them on his fourth expedition.
